Mar 17, 2010 - Download English (U.S.) drivers for NVIDIA hardware - 205, GT 230, GTX 295, 210, GTX 280, GT 240, GT. Windows 7 32-bit, Windows Vista.
The game doesn't launch, or you get a black screen First, try the following. Most of these issues are caused by an incompatible GFWL installation, and following these steps exactly makes sure that all old GFWL files are cleaned out, and a fresh install is in place: 1.) Go to Programs and Features. 2.) Locate and uninstall 'Microsoft Games for Windows - LIVE' as well as 'Microsoft Games for Windows Marketplace.' 3.) Restart the computer. 4.) Download and install the latest version of the GFWL software from.
(Please note that this is for the North American / US installer; you may need to change the 'en-US' to your language and region or visit the site for your region depending on where you live.) 5.) Run the game. Some GFWL games may expect game files to be installed on the same drive where Windows is installed. For example, if your Windows Vista / 7 / 8 installation is installed on the C drive, RE5 (and possibly other GFWL-based games) may expect the game build to be installed under the same drive letter.
Steam, as you may be aware, allows users to manually select the drive (including externally attached drives) during the initial download / installation process. The GFWL client or the game may not recognize this when the user deviates from the default drive letter when installed through Steam. If you've already installed RE5 on another drive, try moving the entire RE5 folder following the steps below: Assumptions: - Windows and Steam client is installed on C drive. RE5 installed on a different drive letter (assume D drive in this example) 1) Shut down Steam client (click 'Exit' from the Steam menu in th eupper left corner). 2) Go to D: Steam SteamApps and delete 'appmanifest21690.acf' 3) Copy or Move the entire 'Resident Evil 5' folder from 'D: Steam SteamApps common ' to 'C: Steam SteamApps common ' 4) Start Steam client and sign in with your account. 5) Double-click Resident Evil 5 from the Library menu. 6) Install game to its default location ('Install under C: Steam') 7) Steam client will recognize the build already exists at its designated location and will validate existing files instead of redownloading the game again.
8) Start game and sign into GFWL. Another possibility is that the ports required for GFWL are not open. GFWL requires the following ports to be open to function normally: TCP 3074 UDP 88 UDP 3074 You can use portforward.com to select your modem or router and get the exact steps needed to make exceptions to open these ports. The game won't run in DirectX 10, or crashes while using DX10 but not DX9On occasion, regardless of hardware, Resident Evil 5 may crash or not start at all when using the DirectX 10 option in Windows 7. This may be related to a specific DirectX update from Microsoft, KB2670838. Uninstalling this update may be able to resolve issues with Resident Evil 5 as well as other issues with DirectX 10. To remove the update, follow the steps outlined in windows.microsoft.com, then restart your computer and try running Resident Evil 5 with DirectX 10 again.
We strongly recommend creating a system restore point before making these changes. Im sick and tired of windows trying to force every player to make an account, thats how they make money and for what? Why do we need to do all this crap when the game can simply be saved in the computer, in matter of fact, the game still saves on the computer but for NO reason you need to log in with windows lives that has no cloud server, so if you try to play resident evil 5 on another computer with your same account guess what, the save will not show up from the primary computer nad you have to start a new game. HAHA then WHY!!
Did we just created an account for? For stupid archivements which is the stupidest idea on video games?
Fix this now! Originalmente postado por:im sick and tired of windows trying to force every player to make an account, thats how they make money and for what?
